SUDAN365: A BEAT FOR PEACE
Global Day of Action for Sudan!! On January 9, 2010 the world joined together in a drumbeat for peace in Sudan. This day served as a launching point for a yearlong effort to raise awareness about the continuing need to protect civilians in Darfur and throughout all of Sudan and to prevent violence from escalating further. Events were scheduled throughout the U.S. including Washington DC, New York City, and San Francisco. Events also occurred in Mali, Togo, Benin, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Kenya, London, Edinburgh, Italy, Norway, New Zealand, Cairo, and other locations to be confirmed. The Reckoning is a movie a movie chronicling the path-breaking work of the ICC's Prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, to make the Court a beacon for international justice. Follow the ICC's dynamic Prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, as he investigates Lord’s Resistance Army leaders in Uganda, Congolese rebels in the east of the country, and Sudanese suspects in Darfur, among other cases and works to make the ICC an effective instrument for international justice.
